Purchases

How do I restore Premium on a new phone?

Open the Log tab, scroll to Support the dive and tap Restore purchases. Use the same Apple ID or Google account you bought with. The app tells you what it restored, or that no previous purchase was found for that store account.

What does Premium include?

Premium is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It removes the full-screen (interstitial) ads for good, and every bonus (double haul, ballast, sonar ping, crates) becomes one tap with no video.

The store says it is unavailable

If the store cannot be reached, the shop says why and shows a Retry button. Check your connection and try again. Nothing is charged when a purchase does not complete. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple or Google, so refund requests go through the App Store or Google Play.

Playing offline

Does the game work without internet?

Yes. Diving, catching, the bestiary and upgrades all run on your phone. Premium is remembered on the device, so it works offline too. You need a connection only to watch an optional video, to buy, or to restore a purchase.

What happens while the app is closed?

Your submersible keeps diving while you are away, up to the limit of its tanks: 2 hours to start, plus 30 minutes for each Tanks upgrade. Time beyond that limit is not banked, and the app tells you when your tanks filled up so you are never shorted silently.

Your progress and data

Where is my progress saved? Can I export it?

Progress is stored on this device only. There is no account and no cloud save, so progress cannot be exported or moved to another phone. Premium can always be restored on a new phone (see above).

How do I delete my data?

Open the Log tab and tap Reset all progress at the bottom. This erases your bestiary, pearls and every upgrade, and it cannot be undone. Purchases are kept by the app store and survive a reset. Deleting the app also removes everything it stored.

Ads and privacy

What ads does Idle Abyss show?

Ads come from Google AdMob and are limited to a family-friendly (PG) content rating. Most are optional rewarded videos that you choose to watch for a bonus. The free version also shows an occasional full-screen ad, spaced at least 4 minutes apart. Premium removes the full-screen ads.

How does consent work?

• On first launch, in regions where it is required (for example the EEA and the UK), Google's consent form asks for your choices. On iPhone, Apple's tracking permission prompt comes after that.
• Ads are personalised only if you agree in that form (where it applies) and, on iPhone, only if you allow tracking. If you decline, you still see ads, but they are not personalised.
• Analytics start switched off. Anonymous gameplay events (for example that a creature was discovered) are sent through Google Firebase Analytics only after the consent step. Where the consent form applies, they are sent only if you agreed to measurement. If the app could not learn your choices, nothing is sent that session.
• If the game hits an error, the error name and message (never anything about you) are sent under the same rule.

How do I change my ad choices?

Open the Log tab and tap Ad privacy choices under Privacy & Ads to reopen the consent form. On iPhone you can also change tracking permission in the system Settings app, and on Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in system settings.
